Some of you may already know this, but I'm a huge fan of South Park. It's quite possibly my favorite show of all time. I read and hear people say it has fallen off in recent years, and I can't help but shake my head in disbelief. Have you even seen the most recent seasons?! They've been amazing! South Park has been one of the few shows I can safely say has done nothing but improve as time has passed. I couldn't meet Matt and Trey without fear of annoying them with fanlove and begging Trey to sing the Shpadoinkle song from Cannibal: the Musical.

My heart's as full as a baked potato!

So to say I'm hyped for their upcoming video game South Park : The Stick of Truth is a complete understatement. But I'm going to be let down in some ways. It's almost impossible for them to get everything I want to see from the show into this game. Still, it can't hurt to list some things I'm definitely hoping make it in.

  • Unique settings.

South Park has been all over the place. They've visited space. They've built ladders to heaven. But for me, the place I want to visit most of all in Stick of Truth has to be Canada. Every episode that has every touched upon Canada has been absolutely hilarious in its absurdity and complete silliness. I can only imagine fighting the Giant, Scott ( he's a dick!). Or maybe finally having it out with those damn French-Canadians.

I think you understand.

  • Characters

There are so many great characters to choose from the 16 years of history South Park has. Mister Slave and Jesus have already been announced. And of course the four boys and Butters are involved. But will we see Mecha-Streisand? Will there be a part where you must fight Kanye West and his new gay fish minions? I can't imagine the game will not involve Randy Marsh somewhere along the lines, he's half the reason to watch the show these days. But the characters I really hope to see? The Christmas Critters. I can already envision the epic boss battle involved here.

  • Music

South Park has a pretty long history of excellent music. Hell, Matt and Trey have awesome music outside of South Park as well.

Yoho!

But some of their music throughout the series has been phenomenal. Faith +1. The Bully Song. Jackin It in San Diego. The entire South Park movie. The Cthulhu song. James Cameron. The Mexican Work Song. But the song that I feel absolutely needs included somewhere along the lines, preferrably at an epic boss fight? Let's Fighting Love!

Perfection.

There's just too many other things in the 16 year history of South Park that people would like to see for my extremely small list to cover them all. What about you, my fellow TAYers? What do you hope to see in the upcoming Stick of Truth? I leave you now in the capable hands of James Cameron.

James Cameron doesn't do what James Cameron does for James Cameron. James Cameron does what James Cameron does because he is....James Cameron.
