I’ve spent my free time this week wrapped up in one Final Fantasy land or another. Currently, I’m doing the first playthrough of VIII I’ve done since my initial run after the game first released. Honestly, I’m finding it quite a bit easier to grasp this time through. Bosses I remember being stuck at nearly forever were a breeze. My guess is that I’m just far more familiar with RPGs than I was back then. Now, I have dozens of RPGs under my belt. When I first played VIII, VII and the Shining Force games were my only real forays into the genre, and VIII is pretty different from both.

Which brings us to tonight’s suggested topic: Have you gone back to a game you once struggled with and, after a long break , just felt you destroyed the game? Why was it so much easier now? Come talk to us in the comments!

Not your kind of topic? Have no fear, Jolly’s here! Submitted for the approval of The Midnight Society:

And that’s it, folks! Hope you all have a good weekend!
