Just felt like sharing this bit of news that I came across being a semi-regular watcher of Tek Syndicate. Quite recently, some of the good chums from Tek Syndicate, Linus Tech Tips and Newegg, even including some people from Asus, Corsair, and Austin Evans as well (sorry if I left anyone else out).

The basic gist is with some sponsorship help and willpower, a group of men decided to do the manly activity of hiking up the 14k+ feet high Mount Elbert...and then ruin it make it better by doing one of the nerdiest things possible on its peak: play video games with each other!

Here's the youtube playlist that covers a few different perspectives of the trip, from the apt game of choice to LAN, how they got it working up that high, the physical struggle just getting to the top, and the even harder descent back down. Some of them were even 15ft from getting struck by lightning, all done in the name of fun, gaming, and an actual Guinness World Record.

I don't know about you, but I kinda want to try this myself. Maybe I'll be special by going up the mountain, and have a Smash Bros. Tournament, with 1 rule: "The Summit" stage only!
