The 90s, basically the last 3 years of the 80s and first 2 years of the 00s had a 10 year hiccup. We got grunge and Hanson, Ricky Martin and Frubies. Clinton, Bush, and Blair.
We also had the console wars. Being a console warrior today is a far cry from the ancient world. PC gaming was, well, it was in such a bubble it was propelled by it's own momentum and the sound card business.
Consoles were like the terrible bouts of a wreastlemania where the fighters keep going cause they forgot what the next pattern was. PCs basically have just been a constant stream of upgrades, but the console market, especially in the 90s, was how do I put this, experimental?
