The games just won’t let go.

Two games of interest come out next week. Two I already happen to own on other systems and yet I’m still considering purchasing them. Why?

A few weeks ago, Rer had a resolution in that he would take control of his gaming purchasing power. His goal is to work on his backlog, not stress and enjoy the games he already has, with a set target of buying no new games until July.

In a show of support, I decided to join him. Or rather I got roped into something. Heh. No, really. It’s a good plan but I’m re-evaluating the purchases for the next few months. I didn’t think I had much to look forward to after the release of Persona 5. But I’m looking at this list though and...How did this happen...?! 2017 is truly a spectacular year thus far and somehow, might continue the trend for the next few months if I’m thinking about this correctly. But do I really need Mario Kart 8 once again? Puyo Puyo Tetris (Yes. Yes I do on this one).

So no major confessions or realizations from me. I just thought this would be a good exercise for all of us to share what our gaming plans and purchases are looking like for the next few months, or ones we missed out on this year but are considering. Let’s make lists and check them twice! Trade ideas on whether you think they may be worth it or not. What’s missing. Share interests.

Here’s My Tentative List

  • Night in the Woods
  • NieR: Automata
  • Tales of Berseria
  • Layton’s Mystery Journey
  • Ever Oasis
  • Puyo Puyo Tetris
  • Mario Kart 8 (?)
  • The Silver Case
  • Mario Odyssey
  • Yakuza Kiwami
  • Valkyria Revolution
  • Fire Emblem: Echoes
  • Tokyo Xanadu
  • Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac Age (?)
  • Digimon World: Next Order
  • Disgaea 5 Complete (?)
  • Dragon Quest Heroes 2 (?)
  • Danganronpa 3
  • Yokai Watch 2 Definitive (?)
  • Uncharted 4: Lost Legacy

...Yeesh. And E3 hasn’t even happened yet to know what else might be lurking. Some of these aren’t definite, others will have to be at a price drop. Some may never happen. That’s how it goes.

So TAY, it’s your turn. What’s on your radar for 2017?
