Hello everyone, and welcome to the Open Forum, which is hosted by Kotaku's reader-run blog, TAY. This is a place to talk about life, video games, or anything else you want, so feel free to hop in and join in the topic discussion, or anything else you want. Then, when you're done, feel free to peruse the articles on TAY and TAYCLASSIC. Is this your first time on TAY or the Open Forum? Then check out this handy TAYtorial!
Now, don't get excited everyone, I'm not back for good. I'm just filling in for Morie who has a lot going on right now. In fact, we're looking for volunteers to take over the Mon-Wed Open forum for the time being. With school starting, Morie just doesn't have the time anymore to host this in the morning, and with my work obligations still spiraling out of control, I can only do the occasional one off as a last minute emergency broadcast. Any volunteers can reach out to me on my conTAYct page, and I'll be accepting "applications" (read: ask, let me know your schedule, and nepotism is absolutely a factor ;P).
Now, today's OPTIONAL topic of discussion: favorite minigames inside actual games. A personal favorite of mine is Kirby's Megaton Punch! It's just a simple, timing-based mini-game that gives you ALL the time you need to line up your punch, but there's something incredibly satisfying about lining everything up JUST right and splitting Popstar in half! Seriously, I would spend WAY too much time just playing this. It never failed to make me smile. So, I'm asking you, fellow Kotakuites and TAYter Tots...what are some of your favorite mini-games?
***Don't forget, the Mascot Contest ends today at 9:00pm EDT tonight, so get your votes in!***
