Hey guys, in recent years i’ve been pretty disappointed by the turnout of the steam sale. Ever since they got rid of ‘flash sales’ it feels like the deals just haven’t been quite as good. This year however, after beating my way through a good portion of my backlog, I picked up a whole bunch of games between presents from friends and the excellent deals on steam. And with my new Steam Link I picked up for black friday I think it’s going to be awesome to play them on the TV, I can even use my Wii U pro controller. There’ve been some awesome games this year, but I haven’t gotten to play them at all because of my otherwise enormous backlog and the prices haven’t been low enough. I’m so excited to get my hands on these games everyone’s been raving about.
I ended up getting: Undertale (played through the neutral and true good end on a friend’s copy), INSIDE, Xcom 2, Hyper Light Drifter, Shantae Half Genie Hero, Axiom Verge, The Witness, and Papers Please.
A number of those I’m going to play as soon as I get back home to my compy (Inside, The Witness and Shantae are at the top of the list). While others will have to wait until I finish other games on the list (Xcom, Papers Please), but all of them are games i’m incredibly excited for in general.
So what do you guys think of the prices this year? Good? Bad? Did you guys get anything you’d been waiting for a good price on? Anything your friends got you that you were excited about? Or maybe they got you something you weren’t expecting? Maybe you got some cool games that weren’t on steam? Regardless I hope you all had a great Christmas.
