"What a strange, non-video game related painting," some of you may be saying. I promise, the video game tie-in will be made clear after the jump.
Years and years ago, back when TAY used to be just a daily post done by an author, a monthly contest of sorts was held. The Kotaku staff would have commentors choose an old, public domain painting to represent each month. During the course of that month, people would shop the painting to make it video game related, and daily, the author of TAY would choose a winning shop and give the creator a shout-out on the main TAY page.
My question to you, fellow Kotakuites, is do you want to re-establish this long-gone tradition, or do you want to keep TAY the way it is? Let me know in the comments below. If there seems to be enough interest, I will consider doing a trial run of this project starting next month. I will tally the votes sometime during the weekend. Most likely Saturday or Memorial Day.
