Whew, spring kinda sucks. I miss the snow...there I said it. I guess part of the problem is that we had such a late start to spring that now I need to play catch-up with all the outdoor projects. At least with the snow I only had to snowblow the driveway once in a while. My neighbours probably hate me for not mowing yet.
I had a great week with The Elder Scrolls Online. I was at my partner-in-crime's house last weekend and we had a wonderful time as always. The kids got along really well, we ate lots of yummy food, and then when everyone was asleep; my friend and I played loads of ESO.
Yesterday brought the Craglorn expansion to the game which is very exciting. I'll leave this video here if you are interested in hearing what was added.
What the video doesn't tell you is that a HUGE patch was also applied and a multitude of changes and fixes were implemented.
The most exciting improvement for me is the ability to play in true fullscreen mode. Prior to this you could play in a window (or a borderless window) but this nerfed the ability to really use your video card at maximum potential. Now, with the new update, I am using both of my GPUs and all my video card's features. The framerate is way up and I can now apply all the anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing my heart desires. It is a grand moment indeed for SLI and Crossfire users.
I also finished another world of Super Mario 3D World with my family tonight and I think we are at the end-world now. It is a vast improvement over the co-op in New Super Mario Bros. U and my wife really enjoys being able to play as Peach, but there is something that doesn't really grab me about the game. It is fun and generally good, just maybe not great. I think I was a little spoiled with Rayman: Origins.
So, other than a ton of work this weekend, I hope to be able to spend some time with The Elder Scrolls Online with my buddy. My wife and I just started Breaking Bad as well, and I am totally hooked after two episodes, so hopefully there will be more of that this weekend.
Have a good Memorial Day Weekend to my U.S. sisters and brothers ...and to anyone else in the world having a long weekend.
What are you playing this weekend?
