Tonight’s Shift... Destiny is cruel

Say this is not usual, but after reading a quite depressing novel for univ... I got thinking at how awful getting lemonade is.

Usually when we find ourselves reading a comic, going through a game, novel, or watching a film, we sorta expect the end will have a satisfying conclusion to it. Maybe a happy ending were everyone lives, the dog lives, the planet is safe, the villain is in Jail for the sequel, and Jimmy gets laid or something.

But no.

Stories that leave a greater impact are the ones that make us wonder, “why?”. Stories that tear at us, reach at us, take us to dark places, stories that merge into our world, and makes us question were we stand. Those are great stories.

And sometimes, there is a story that just ends without closure.

I saw a bit of the trailer for the mid season of SW:Rebels, kinda disappointing clone wars abruptly ended. It was a war story at its core, so probably why. But there was talk of how story of master and apprentice would end. Anakin succumbed to the dark side and became more machine than man. While Ahsoka survived and remained true to the schwartz.

Its a interesting set up, but will be a story without closure.

Oh! You’re probably wondering on the topic.... Well stories basically, as in...

  • Anything currently left you with pondering on how it would have ended is x did y?
  • Or in a current game or story in 2016 that just hit you by surprised.

Either way, as always ignore my rambling and talk about, life, games, food, dunks, and whatever your hear desires really.

SO TALK AMONGST YOURSELVES!
