Hello everyone, and welcome to the Open Forum, which is hosted by Kotaku's reader-run blog, TAY. This is a place to talk about life, video games, or anything else, so feel free to hop in and join in the topic discussion, or comment about anything. Then, when you're done, feel free to peruse the articles on TAY and TAYClassic. Is this your first time on TAY or the Open Forum? Then check out this handy TAYTorial!
Hey guys, heeyyzzz... zzz... There is so much sleepiness going on in my face right now that I cannot even tell you. What about you, TAY? Are you also sleepy this fine, Lokisday? It happens!
Before I start talking some more, check out some announcements from TAY that happened over night which you may have missed. Do it!
Ani-TAY is giving the call to all for a standardized review system. You know, if you want to. Join in to discuss all the possibilities and voice suggestions of your own.
Want to contact a developer about acquiring advance review copies of games? Hold on, mang! and READ THIS FIRST. Chances are they may have already been contacted! Join in this discussion to make suggestions and sign up for reviews too.
Alright, so back to my sleepy state and yours too. What this calls for is a Wake-Us up Jam. The only problem is that I cannot really think of one right now because I'm too busy being focused on just how terrible The Cranberries' song "Linger" is sounding right now. It never used to sound this bad but in the past few weeks, I've come to the realization at just how annoyingly screechy it has become to my little ears.
Tastes change and things that you thought were super cool back in the day, may not be so now.
For today's suggested topic: What games, music or anything you can think of, does not stand up to the test of time after all?
For me, it's Jak II. I said it before but trying those controls now for the vehicles is a true nightmare and yet it was so easy back in the day when I first played! How did I even manage? Did my skills decrease? Shouldn't it be the other way around?!
Oh and Dolores O'Riordan, I got nothing against you, gurl or the band. Truthfully, "Linger" was never a favourite of mine neither was "Zombie", but "Disappointment"? Yeah. That's my jam! It's still good today and always will be. I listened to it yesterday to confirm.
Also my jam? This thing.
I don't actually know that yet since I have not tried it but curse you, Ben & Jerry's!
As always, feel free to Talk Amongst Yourselves if you don't want to talk about cranberries or raspberries! It is the Open Forum, after all. Don't forget that the IRC Channel is always around for you to carry out discussions as well.
