Hello and welcome to another edition of Unboxing TAY! In this series I take a look at special/collectors/limited editions of various media and other things, namely things that have come out recently. I'll show off the goods and talk a little bit about each item and possibly the function(s) of said objects if there is more than what is visible. With that out of the way, let's get to today's topic which as hinted by the header image and title, is.... Cowboy Bebop!

As you are all aware, Cowboy Bebop was recently re-released on DVD and Blu-ray, along with special editions from both FUNimation and Amazon. Messi showed us what the slick FUNimation version looked like, while today I'll be showing off the Amazon version.

First off, it goes without saying the Amazon one isn't as spiffy as the record style set up that Funimation's version has, but is still nice overall, so let's get to it.

Here we have the front of the clamshell style hardcase, simple, stylish and to the point.

Ignoring the fact the pic is a bit blurry, here we have the information sheet that would normally make up the back of the box, nothing special here.

This ended up a bit blurry as well, but as you can see the back and also the spine of the box is made up of these character sketches.

Here you can get a better look at the opened up hard case.

The case housing the discs itself is a bit larger than normal BD cases since it houses both dvd and BD versions. Here we can see the full slip cover art for the case with an episode list, and if we flip it over....

we get the image that the old collection of Bebop had, so you can pick which ever cover floats your boat.

No difference to the discs between the versions, these too look and feel like records.

The extras for this edition consisted of these two art books, one a book of sketches, the other a color book with promo artwork and the like.

Just a sampling of the arts contained within.

And that concludes the contents of this edition, another short and sweet Unboxing Tay full of goods. Now if something like this can get revealed for Outlaw Star that'd be awesome. After all Bebop's remastering was announced the same time they said Oulaw Star got picked up as well.

Anyway if you thought I was doing anything other than singing along to The Real Folk Blues while writing this, you were wrong. Until next time, see you space cowboy.
