Last game of the Round of 16 matchs, and voila! It is the USMNT turn to make a whole nation wonder what is an offside and why it happens so often.

But first... time to recall the memories from yesterday's two big matches.

...

...

...

Okay joking aside, both African teams gave a big scare to the European bigwigs, in the end both teams left with their hands empty. Nigeria had the Bleus against their goal during different periods of the match, but in the end two goalkeeper howlers from Vincent Enyeama cost his nation dearly.

Sadly for the Super Eagles, the referee missed a couple of potential red cards moments for two different French players, Matuidi and Griezmann, and even lost one player because of the late tackle by M. Blaise Matuidi.

On the 4PM match, Algeria held on draw for the fisrt 90 mintues, and could have gotten away with it, if it wasn't for those meddlesome kids in the German team! Especially the goalkeeper, Manuel Neüer, who in 17 different occasions had to come out of the penalty box to clear the long balls the Green Foxes placed behind the German defense.

Between great saves, and horrible misses, the game stood nil-nil at the end of regular time, prompting the third game of this tournament to be played in overtime. Some would have expected the match to be decided from the ten steps, but in the second minute of extra time, André Schürrle finally broke the deadlock by converting Mesut Özil's cross into a beauty of a goal. 15 minutes later Özil got his name on the scoresheet, and Algeria got one back in the 120th minute.
