Good morning Tay!

At work with a terrible headache. I’m wondering If I am having a migraine. That would explain my mood the recent days. Often when I am about to have a migraine I am anxious or depressed. It’s weird how it affects you psychologically, but I am pretty used to it these days and can see it coming. Most of the times.

I actually had a scary experience about that recently. A few weeks ago when I had a stressful day at work, I were on my way home my eyesight, especially in the left eye, started to become blurry. Now I had migraine before and it has affected my eyesight previously. But never that much, or so suddenly. It went on for like 15-20 minutes and then it was gone and I could see normally again, although with a slight headache and a bit shaken. The next day I called a nurse about it and she suggested that I should go to the hospital ASAP. So I left my work instantly. They wanted to make sure it was nothing bad, but they couldn’t find anything wrong with me. So they said it was most likely a migraine. That felt right for me aswell, and it was nice that they could confirm that it wasn’t anything serious. But a bit awkward to leave work for it.

Overall I would say I am physically in good shape. Never had much issue with anything, or even broken a bone. I feel a bit out of shape, but I walk around a lot in my work so it is probably not too bad. I used to exercise but I haven’t done that in about half a year now. I should probably start again. But more for my mental health than anything. Exercise really makes me feel better mentally.

Speaking of that I often advice to inmates to exercise in my work. Being in jails in Sweden can be really isolated. (At least in the block I work for.) People become so restless when they are locked in. (Big surprise!) So I always tell them to exercise a lot. Because that it is going to help you sleep during the nights. And if you don’t, your only other option is to lie in bed and watch TV all day. Which will lead to many nights staring at the walls. And you can really tell apart peoples well being from those who exercise and those who don’t.

So the moral of the story is, exercise and stay healthy. Even when you end up in prison.

Anyway, here are some suggested topics for today:

  • How are you physically or mentally? Do you have any condition or injury that affects you in some way that you wish to talk about?
  • What activity makes you feel good?
  • Is there anything you do regularly or that makes you feel bad or just don’t like about yourself? Like a specific work task or bad habit, Like “buy too many games”, “never exercise” , “hate my work”.
  • Do you exercise, or do you do something else to “stay healthy”?
  • Or Talk about anything.
