Ah, Thanksgiving. The holiday where you eat too much, lay around like a slob and try to avoid your uncle who smells like stale waffles. Well, hopefully not that last part. Even smelly uncle Dave needs some love.

Smelly relatives or not, there’s one thing all families enjoy - gathering around the television and laughing at holiday specials. This is why I have compiled a list of the best animated Thanksgiving episodes that are currently available for your streaming pleasure. By which I mean on a paid streaming service (mostly Hulu Plus in this case).

I made sure to include a quick synopsis, as well as if it’s suitable for children (curse those rugrats!) and where to watch. Bring on the gravy!

Adventure Time: Season 3, Episode 17 - Thank You

Synopsis: In what is probably the most untraditional Thanksgiving episode on this list, a large snow golem happens upon a young fire pup and does his best to return him to his fiery home. Though main characters Finn and Jake do make appearances, they are certainly not the stars of this adventure. It’s one of those special Adventure Time episodes that has a lot of heart and simple humor.

Where to Watch: Hulu Plus

American Dad: Season 6, Episode 6 - There Will Be Bad Blood

Synopsis: Stan Smith invites his half Native American half-brother over for Thanksgiving every year, assuming they are impressed by his big house and fancy food. When his own family starts taking their lifestyle for granted he decides to drive them to what he thinks is his brother’s rundown homestead. Little does he know that his brother is quite a bit better off than he thought.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Season 2, Episode 21 - The Dressing

Synopsis: The Aqua Teens and their neighbor Carl are interrupted in the middle of their week-after Thanksgiving feast by a robotic turkey from the year 9595. He speaks of taco assassination and laser guided socks. Just watch it. It has classic Aqua Teen one liners and some of the best (see worst) rambling backstories you’ll ever hear.

Bob’s Burgers: Season 3, Episode 5 - An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal

Synopsis: When Bob’s landlord asks if he can “borrow” his family to impress an old flame in exchange for some free rent, it’s time for some wacky Thanksgiving antics. Bob comes along as cook, but starts losing his cool when his family refuses to take part in his usual turkey day rituals. Also, there’s an amazing nod to Studio Ghibli’s Totoro (seen above).

Suitable for Kids: Maybe? (It’s pretty tame)

Where to Watch: Hulu Plus, Netflix

*It should be noted that Bob’s Burgers always does Thanksgiving right. Check out the other turkey day episodes in the series if you enjoy this episode.
