It’s alive! IT’S ALIVE!!
I finally got all the parts that I wanted to build up a Hackintosh. Quick explanation: Apple’s Mac OS X only comes on Macs that you buy from them at an insane cost. It won’t install on just any old computer, because not all the parts are supported by Mac OS. A “Hackintosh” is made up of parts that the operation system has full (or at least limited) support, and then some extra software tweaks to try and make everything run smoothly.
By following several guides online, I slowly bought up all the individual parts and constructed a beautiful creature. Though, if Apple were to lay their eyes on it, they would cry SupremeEvan’s Monster!
At least I save a whole bunch of money building this thing (cost around $1000 and has the specs equivalent to the “cheaper” Mac Pro, which is priced at $3500).
My question is: What’s the best hack that you’ve got that saves you a ton of money?
