I waited a day before posting this because I am still unsure what exactly is going on here... meet Dave and his F-Zero “tribute” Zero Gravity AX.

Does that image remind you of something? Well, as probably the biggest F-Zero fan in my corner of the world, I was screaming “F-ZERO GX!!!” on top of my lungs while rolling on the floor. It does not look half bad in motion either. Since the KickStarter went up yesterday, Dave has updated the description with he following:

NOTE: This model will not be in the final game with this design. We made this whole prototype and the model a while back and we thought it would be a good idea to show what we can do. Also as it is written down on the page, that the machine design will change in later state and that the footage on this page is not final.
We are very sorry if this was unclear.

We never had the intention to 100% copy the design. We are going to change the information on page now.

Thank you for your feedback.

I still have quite some reservations about this. Is the gameplay just a lane changing casual racing game or will there be true freedom of movement? How will they ship this coming August (never mind, we are not in 2016!) physical copies of the game for PS4, Xbox One and Wii U? Who is Dave and his six man team?

Questions, questions, questions... either way I will keep track of this KS progress and follow their twitter account. What about you guys and girls, opinions on this one? Fishy?

Play Hard, Play LOUD! ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ

UPDATE: Project was just cancelled.
