A reminder of the Ani-club rules, as we’re going into a plot heavy series they’re now more relevant. Spoilers should be contained to the episodes covered thus far and need not be marked. Well that was certainly an interesting introduction. I can see this is the kind of series where I’m going to be clueless as to what’s going on until I’ve finished watching it. Although I get the feeling I still might not have much of an idea then. Still it managed to pack plenty of intrigue into the first few episodes. I’m not sure why I didn’t peg Vincent as the second monster, when I was skimming through the first episode for a title image I realised they telegraphed it pretty hard. I guess I missed the hints because I watched the first episode after midnight and I was tired.
The autoreiv/android things are interesting. Their domineering attitudes and the general meekness of a lot of the human characters suggest that it’s the human population that are the puppets in the relationship. The dialogue of the council of statues near the end of episode three also seems to support this. One thing I’m curious about, is if there’s only death outside where exactly do the immigrants come from? I mean there’s an immigrant district... but where do they come from before that?
Curiouser and curiouser. So many questions. Hopefully at some point we might get some answers if we’re lucky. What were your takes on the first few episodes? Remember to leave them below, and remember to watch episodes four, five, and six by next week. I know a few people forgot this week... myself included. Whoops.
