Haha, I feel very derpy for just now doing this, but "better late than never", right? So, while I was at the con, I compiled a list of anime "that you must watch" this season, and figured I should share it with you guys . . . It's also mostly because I haven't been doing much stuff, again . . . So anyways:

  • -The Severing Crime Edge

I'm sure most of you have heard about this one, with the talk on Kotaku that one day and all. I can't say I'm particularly interested at all, and I've heard mixed responses to it by several people. It's about a dude with a hair-cuttting fetish that one day meets this chick who can't get her hair cut, and he happens to have the only scissors that can get the job done, and somehow that starts this tourney where other magical people have to go and try to kill her, with him being her guardian or something like that. You can find it streaming for free on Crunchyroll and Hulu .

  • -Sparrow Hotel

People call it "Hotel Sparrow", but the title clearly says otherwise. See? It's there in Katakana :P Anyways, it's about an assassin chick who has to protect the hotel she works for using her "assassin skills". It's a comedy, in case you couldn't tell from the image above, and I can almost guarantee that at some point, bust jokes are bound to pop up. And, if you're actually interested, you can find it on Crunchyroll for free.

  • -Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai Kara Kuru Sō Desu yo?

Ok, this one's about a group of psychic kids (of course they're kids) who enter this realm where they can use their powers to gain more power and influence. This is due to the fact that in that realm, there's this thing going on called the "Gift Game", where they use their powers to see if they can help out their respective communities and see who's better, or something like that. I actually can't find where you could legally watch this one, so no links this time, sorry. However, I do believe there is a light novel version too, for all of you who are into that type of stuff.

  • -Yuyushiki

I'm sure a few of you know what to expect based on the art style, huh? If you guessed anything close to Nichijou or Lucky Star, well congrats, you're right . . . and I'm judging you . . . Anyways, yes, it's about these three girls and their high school lives. Nothing too special . . . oh yea, something about a club. Eh, it's always a club or something like that. Well, if you want to check it out, it's available on Hulu and Crunchyroll for free.

  • -Aiura

You have no idea how hard it was for me to find an image of this to show on here . . . So yea, the art style reeks of that K-ON stench, and the plot definitely seems promising; We get to see "what happens when there is nothing happening". I'm not at all sure how that's supposed to translate to twelve episodes or so, but oh well. You can find it for free on Crunchyroll.

  • -Tamako Market

Ok, I take back what I said about "reeking of K-ON" earlier on, since this was made by Kyoto Animation . . . In case you didn't notice. Uh, it's about a girl whose parents run a mochi shop, and something about a bird who ate too much of it and got fat. I would bother with a better description, but so far, every synopsis I find says the same thing after that part; "This tells the story of their daily lives". Yepp. But hey, at least it's mochi now and not tea and cake, right? Oh, and get this, it's not on Hulu nor Crunchyroll.

  • - Date A Live

So, this one's about this one kid, the only dude featured in the picture above, who has to go around and find the girls featured above. So, what he has to do, is make all of them fall for him, then kiss them, but somehow do it in such a way that they don't find out he's cheating on them all. Why, you ask? Because apparently, they're these spirit chicks who can cause earthquakes and kill everybody. So, violence ensues or something. It's listed as a romcom, so I don't think anything gory or graphic happens. It's available on Hulu.

  • -Oreshura

Ok, this is a romcom about a dude who's going to medical school and one day meets this one chick. The girl is tired of having dudes asking her out, so she's all like "Oh hey, we should become a "couple" so people don't bother us anymore". Then, you know, typical romcom things happen, and a cast of more girls pops up. You can find this on Hulu and Crunchyroll.

Among others mentioned, there was The Hentai Prince And The Stony Cat, or just Henneko or something. Red Data Girl, which is featured as the title image because I figured it would get attention drawn to the article, and because I couldn't think of anything else to have up there.

Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed to see this is all the year has to offer. I mean, to each their own and all that, but, I can't say that I'm enthusiastic about slice of life, harem high school romcoms :I Well, at least that means I have time to catch up on stuff like Monster and such while I wait for GITS Arise to pop up . . .
