As many of you have been writing about the SixTAY Days of Writing Challenge, a lot of things get to us. Sometimes, we barely have any time to write a sentence, much less an article. Other times, we have so much going on in our lives, we adopt a stream of consciousness style to get everything out. What’s getting to me is something much more basic. It’s something I’ve dealt with since I’ve been able to write, and it’ll always be an annoying problem for me. I keep forgetting words.

Often, it’s just an “a” or “the”, a little thing that slips past my eyes as read everything over before posting. It makes me sound like my name should be Grognak the Barbarian and that “me talk like dumber Bizzaro. He am brightest man-thing. *burp*”

Other times, I forget something far more important, like the word “not”. That kind of changes the meaning of the sentence a bit, doesn’t it? It makes it difficult to make a cohesive point if you accidentally write against it.

One of these days, I will write more flawlessly, and this will be a problem of the past. I hope. Until then, I shall be more eagle-eyed while editing. What’s something that been tripping you up during this challenge?
