I'm really feeling it!

Craf-TAY Corner: April

Welcome to Craf-TAY Corner, the monthly feature that showcases the creative side of Talk Amongst Yourselves. If you paint, draw, cosplay, papercrafts or any other artistic or crafty hobbies, this is the place to show off your current and upcoming projects.

This month was a lot more productive than last month, even if it doesn't seem that way at first. Work on the Bayonetta doll continues. While I'm waiting for the weather to stabilize a bit so I can start spraying sealants and primers on various parts of the doll, I've been working on the little details of Bayonetta's costume. My mom found a bunch of little cardboard disks that worked perfectly for the charms in Bayonetta's hair and calves. Because of the paint I used it took quite a few coats to get them to be that shiny. I just need to glue some rhinestones, but it turns out that I'm completely out. Also I've been working Bayonetta's glasses. I got a bunch of two-part epoxy clay. I'm still fine-tuning my techniques of working with it so it'll be another day or so until I put the pieces of the glasses together.

This month I also managed to finally track down my glue gun so I can put my eyelashes on my ball-joint doll. At least in theory. Turns out now I need to buy a pair of eyelash tweezers because the regular kind are an exercise in aggravation. And a great way to get burned. The last project I'm going to start working on this model kit. When my mom was walking she saw someone was throwing away this kit. It's a vintage 1985 Revell Panavia Tornado. It's got everything except the instructions. I've been hunting around the internet for a few weeks to see if I can find a PDF version but no luck yet.

Around TAY it's been a bit slow as there wasn't much time before last month's Craf-TAY Corner and this one, but Bonny John continues to dazzle with Pokemon redesigns

If you have any projects go ahead and talk about them in the comments below. If you want to get featured for May's Craf-TAY Corner, simply start a thread and tag it 'Craf-TAY Corner'. If you don't tag it properly, I'm afraid I won't be able to find it. If you have any questions simply ask in the comments below or send me a message via my ConTAYct Page.
