"Looks like this bubble," *puts on glasses* "just burst."

Hey everyone and welcome to a super late edition of Diggin through the TAYbox. As you might have guessed, today's review is on the S.H. Figuarts Sailor Mercury figure. I was supposed to do this back in December, but ended up not having time, in addition to the first one I recieved I had to send back because the left arm ended up coming off. I suspect that was a QC issue. Anyway my replacement was problem free so that leads us here.

As you can see the box shares a similar motif with Sailor Moon's box, just more blues, than pinks.

Getting to the figure itself, for the most part it has the same build as Moon, just the color scheme, and of course the head are different.

Now one thing to point out, and note is the back of her head. If you compare the two above pics to the box pic, her hair is actually longer than shown on the box. This is actually a big gripe among many people from what I've read in comments. The reason being is it basically prevents her from looking up at all. She can look down, and straight ahead, but her hair is up against her neck at that point. Other than that, it's a solid figure with the same range of motion as Moon, but not quite as much extras.

Starting of with the stand, it is a heart shape like Moon's, but replaced with Mercury's name and symbol in blue coloring.

Next up are the extra hand parts. The usual assortment of fists, open hands and such, along with the bottom three which are for her accessories.

Those accessories being her computer in closed state, and opened.

Last up we have Mercury's faces. Unlike Moon she only has 5, probably because she wasn't crying all the time. =P

The visor piece is actually an alternate bang piece as they are attached together. You just swap out the non visor bangs with the visor bangs. Essentially you have 10 face options, 5 with visor and without.

Overall, it's a great figure that as per usual of the Figuarts line, does a good job at being poseable, and detailed to the series/character it is based off of. I got mine off of Amazon for about $40USD, so if you are a fan of the show, or collecting it is definitely something to look into.

As usual, you can hit me up on my ConTAYct page. And of course feel free to guess the lyric from the title of the article. Be on the lookout for a possible Mars review by Geek Empress as well. Till then, See ya.
