I've said it before, and I'll say it again: bloated budgets are ruining the AAA industry. We don't need celebrity voice work or multiplayer (although I thought the multiplayer was entertaining in Tomb Raider, it wasn't compelling enough to draw me away from more robust multiplayer experiences) in every game.

I remember reading that the marketing budget for Left 4 Dead 2 was $25 million. Twenty... five... MILLION. And that's just for L4D2. Imagine the budgets for GTA, Assassin's Creed, Battlefield.

Publishers throw a ridiculous number of employees onto the development of just one game so they can churn them out quicker, driving up costs without creating a better game.

I could go on and on but this stuff just pisses me off.
