Last night's European Nintendo Direct had a little more flair to it than its American counter part: Shovel Justice is finally upon us Europeans!
We had to wait quite some time before Shovel Knight arrived in Nintendo platforms in the old continent and I had to restrain myself quite a bit from getting the game on STEAM. But I managed to do so, remains spoil free and play Yatch Club Games wonderful love letter to NES / Famicom game sof old where we should be playing it: On a video games console!
After the end of Nintendo Direct, the game showed up on eShop for both 3DS and Wii U (along with a 33% discount if you purchase the game a second time for your other system) so I hurried up and completed the Bayonetta chapter I was playing, put some €uros on my eShop credit, hooked up my video capturing device and let's do this!
I was doing quite well until my brain went "Moby Dick" on that particular jump at the 12:36 mark. But let us judge the Shovel!
Buy this game right now! No matter the platform, make sure you play this. Yatch Club Games not only deserves your money, but a huge pat on the back and congratulations for successfully capturing the essence of what made games of that generation such a pleasure to play. Everything from graphics, music and controls is spot on. I have no doubt in stating this is one of the best games I played in 2014.
That's all he wrote. Until next time: Play Loud, Play HARD! ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ
