Welcome to the first episode of Season 2 of First Play, your number one TAY source for Wii U gameplay! Yeah, I was expecting to begin this season with Hyrule Warriors, but this little 3DS gem made it to the big screen and I picked it up yesterday upon arriving from vacations. Imagine me saying "Please take a look." in the finest Iwata style:

The first thing that comes to mind is Commodore Amiga era games. The graphics, the gameplay, even some of the music. It might be a 2014 game, but it's roots are well planted in games of old. And terribly addicting I might add, I want to go back into that mine and dig deeper. So... should you too dig into your pockets?

You won't have to dig very deep in your pockets to get this game, especially if you already own the 3DS version. Cross buy would be nice, but a discount is also acceptable. Yep, it's the same game, but with HD visual, a much bigger main screen and the Gamepad perfectly replacing the 3DS bottom screen. Image & Form got themselves a winner, not only do I recommend this game but am looking forward to future games in the SteamWorld series.

That's all for now. Thanks for watching and as always: Play Hard, PLAY LOUD! ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ

*OMAKE* I am also eagerly awaiting for Shin'en's "FAST League Racing Neo" so I picked up the discounted "Nano Assault Neo" and it's your bonus "First Play" episode of the day!
