Hey everyone! Welcome to the Graveyard Shift, the nightly hang-out hosted by Kotaku's reader-run blog, TAY. This is a place to talk about anything - your lives, your gaming habits, or whatever else you desire. Hop on in and join the discussion! When you're done here, you could always go check out the articles over at TAY or TAYClassic! Or, if this is your first time at TAY, please check out this TUTorial!

Despite the evil grasp of assignments and papers shredding my free time to pieces, I've managed to get a few things done lately—things I've been meaning to for a while. They weren't important things like getting my flu shot or getting my windshield wiper blades replaced. Rather, they were all related to things I had to catch up on.

Despite Nick.com's video player being one of the worst inventions released on man since unsliced bread, I still managed to find a way to catch up on all the episodes of Korra that I missed this weekend. On top of that, I got started on Drakengard 3 again, which was a game that I absolutely adored but never got too far in because... well, other things came out.

The only reason I even came back to either of these is because people encouraged me to. Nach nudged me in the right way to watch the Legend of Korra, and TUT encouraged me for finally hopping back on Drakengard 3 after a couple of months. Plus we had just finished up grabbing some of the treasure we missed in Resident Evil 5, so that totally helped his mood.

That got me thinking—could we have a sort of encouragement hullabaloo to get people to start playing or watching things they've been meaning to? If you've been holding off on getting into a game, or a show, or a book for a while and needed someone to give you that final push to get into it, now is the time! Just post what you've been meaning to watch/play/read, and be sure to encourage your fellow TAYers that are asking about things you're familiar with!

The only one left on my list for things to get done lately is Lovecraft. I downloaded "The Shadow Over Innsmouth" a week ago and haven't gotten around to reading it yet, but I'd love to before the month is done. If you have any encouragement for me or things to look forward to Lovecraft-related, be sure to share them!

But, of course, you can always talk about whatever else is on your mind. Feel free to talk about life, love, gaming, or whatever else you desire. The Wednesday Graveyard shift is now open!
