I'm not sure if you all are aware, but there are rampant snowstorms just... stomping all over the States right now. Where I am, it's getting a little silly — not because there's so much of it, but rather because none of it wants to stay as snow or melt away completely. Instead, the snow just kind of half-melts and leaves these giant hard snowballs on the sidewalks or sheets of white ice on the top of everyone's cars.
So I walked outside this morning and realized there was a noticeable amount of snow on my car and on the driveway. More than I remembered leaving there the night before, anyways. Luckily last night when it started snowing, it never even got close to going above the freezing point, so the snow never turned to ice. I brushed off the snow that had settled on top of my windshield wipers with a gloved hand. At least... I had intended to. Before I could stop myself, I made a pretty terrible snowball with the snow that was remaining and, to dispose of it, gave it a toss at the garbage can. After all, it wouldn't really feel right to just put a snowball down on the ground.
I went back inside soon after — I had really only gone outside to get the car warmed up before I left. That one impulsive snowball, however, made it impossible to not reminisce on my childhood snowy memories. I thought about making a snow fort out of buckets full of snow - borrowing what little I knew about making sandcastles. I thought about making a snowman and finding out we didn't have a carrot for the nose, and having to settle for a kazoo instead. Worst of all, I thought about how long it had been since I had taken part in any of this. It really has been ages since I played in the snow last.
So TAY, I come to you to reminisce. What were your favorite snowy memories? Did you get into any epic snowball fights? Did you roll giant boulders of snow down a nearby hill? Maybe you went ice skating on a nearby pond? Let us know!
Did you rarely get snow? Do you feel left out because it's not snowing where you are now? Are you Nach? Well then, feel free to talk about life, love, gaming, or whatever else you desire. The Wednesday Graveyard Shift is now open!
