How is everyone doing on this grand evening? I hope you are all having a great week. Mine is going pretty good so far and it will only get better as we closer to the weekend. I went to Monday Night Raw live in Oklahoma City and had a great time. Here are a couple of pictures.

It was a lot of fun and I can’t wait for the next one. I also have a trip to Maine coming up that I leave for next weekend. So consider this a call for coverage for the June 22nd Graveyard Shift. I will be at a Red Sox game at Fenway Park in Boston that night and might be in Boston all day so I won’t be near a PC. I could schedule something before hand but I would prefer to not do a post if I can’t be around to interact with the commentators. So if anyone is up for covering me that day let me know in the comments. For now let’s get to tonight’s topic.

What movies have you seen recently? Were they good or bad? Is their anything coming out you recommend?

I’ve been on a movie bing recently, watching X-Men Apocalypse and the new TMNT in back to back weekends. I really liked Out Of The Shadows. I thought it was better than the first one. It had a lot less April, more stuff from the cartoon and Bebop and Rocksteady were really well done. Casey Jones was a weak part, but it wasn’t Stephen Amell’s fault, he did ok with what he had. I did a post on TMNT for O-Deck which covers my thoughts on the movie pretty well.

I liked X-Men even though I haven’t seen Days Of Future Past. I need to see that one. Quicksilver was the highlight of the movie, much better than his Avengers counterpart. The sequence in the school was really cool and certainly one of the highlights of the film.

The Wolverine cameo was also cool but I am starting to get a bit tired of Hugh Jackman having to be in every X-Men movie. I also wasn’t a big fan of Apocolypse. Oscar Isaac did his best but the charm and charisma we saw in Star Wars The Force Awakens was buried in a lot of prosthetic, CGI and makeup. On top of that the guy’s powers were on the DBZ level of whatever the writer needed them to be to move the plot along. It will be interesting to see if Fox sells the rights back to Marvel in the next few years and if Marvel will be able to fit the X-Men in the MCU. I’ve heard not nice things about it but I still want to see Warcraft just because I was a huge WoW nerd many years ago.

That’s all I got, the floor belongs to you guys. Of course if you want to talk about something else feel free, talking amongst yourself is the name of the game here.

This week’s music is related to the two movies i’ve seen. We got a compilation of all the TMNT themes plus the one from the new movie, as well as the classic X-Men cartoon theme and the theme from the movie. Enjoy
