It's hard to believe, but today marks the 15th anniversary of Super Smash Bros.' North American release. I mean, Smash Bros. is now old enough to have outgrown Avril Lavigne, and that's just weird. What was a fun experiment programmed on weekends by Iwata himself is now one of Nintendo's biggest franchises.

I remember seeing the original Smash Bros. commercial and thinking there was no way this could be fun, looking back, I'm glad I couldn't have been more wrong. Happy 15th birthday, Smash. Here's to 15 more.
