Since the formal announcement of the Victorian era for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate—then named Assassin’s Creed Victory a codename the game has since ditched—fans have been speculating on the possible inclusion of London’s most infamous slasher. It looks like you were all right, since he was announced today.
Details are scant regarding the Jack the Ripper DLC, which is included as part of the game’s season pass, or will be available separately as a standalone purchase, similar to The Tyranny of King Washington from Assassin’s Creed III.
The DLC takes place 20 years after the events of Syndicate, in 1888. Meaning we may see a more mature Jacob and Evie, hopefully. That trailer above is about all the info we have at the moment, and shows more graphical polish than I’ve seen from the game so far. It looks like Syndicate is on track to be the prettiest Assassin’s Creed game we’ve seen so far.
Hopefully Jack the Ripper is a bit longer than last year’s Dead Kings, but the prospect of deviating from the standard AC formula to solve murders and track down the most infamous serial killer of all time is enticing. Hopefully we see it before the end of the year.
