It's a great day to be a Smash Bros fan. EVO, touted as the worlds biggest fighting game tournament, has announced that Super Smash Bros Melee will return to the lineup in 2014 after getting approval from the Big N.
Melee made the cut last year on interesting circumstances - it managed to get the most donations in an EVO contest to add a new game to the lineup. People could donate their money (which all went towards cancer research) towards a specific title and Melee was victorious, beating out the cult fighting favorite Skull Girls.
MLG has also announced that Melee will return to its lineup. This is much more surprising as Melee has not been included since the 2006 season. So prepare yourself for an overload of Smash action this coming year. Maybe Nintendo will even reveal some new characters at the events. Probably not... but maybe.
