So I went shopping a week ago, mainly for boring fancy shirts, and tried to stuff them in my drawer. But it had reached full capacity. Opening and closing it had become a battle of will. And thus I decided to retire some of my older shirts. I was surprised to find how many shirts there were at the bottom of the drawer that I hadn’t worn in years. Some are now too small or large for me, as teenage bodies tend to change in dimensions a lot, but I’ve also rediscovered a ton of forgotten t-shirts that still fit me great! Here is my collection of every single video game shirt I own:
An embarrassing number of these shirts come from FYE, but what can I say, they sell cool shirts! I don’t know, maybe everyone loves FYE, but it seems like the kind of company that a lot of people might roll their eyes at. I will say that I’ve never willingly walked into an FYE, if that helps.
Anyway, I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I didn’t even know that this shirt was imitating Mega-Man back when I bought it. I just thought that it was a cool retro style for Star Wars, which I was really into at the time because of the recently released The Force Awakens. I’ve played a bit of Mega-Man 2 on the NES Classic, but otherwise, not much. Hopefully, that will change one day. I don’t wear this shirt much in the embarrassment that follows when I have to explain that I don’t actually play Mega-Man.
This is another shirt from FYE. Eevee and the Eeveelutions might not be my favorite Pokemon, but hey, they’re cute. I wear this shirt occasionally, but not too often. I like Eevee, but not too much.
I believe I got this shirt as a gift, so I have no idea where it’s from. Nevertheless, it’s my first shirt of many that profess my love for The Legend of Zelda in wearable form, and I used to wear it a lot. Then it sadly got consigned into the oblivion that is the bottom of my t-shirt drawer, and was sadly forgotten... until now! I can now start proudly wearing yet another Zelda shirt all the time. Yay!
I honestly do not even remember this shirt. I don’t remember getting it, and I don’t remember wearing it. But it kicks ass and still fits, so I’m not complaining!
What’s hotter than a hot guy? I’ll tell you what: a hot guy wearing a shirt of another hot guy! That’s how hot it is when I’m wearing this shirt. Now if only Link was wearing a shirt of me, and the circle would be complete...
In all seriousness, I love Breath of the Wild, and this shirt says Breath of the Wild on it. That’s capitalism.
Huh, another Zelda shirt. I don’t remember where I got it, and I don’t really wear it because I basically have a better version of the same shirt, but there you go.
Aaaand yet another Zelda shirt. We’re up to a full work-week. Similarly to Breath of the Wild, I love Majora’s Mask; this shirt has Majora’s Mask... sold. I’ve no idea where I got it.
We’re up to a full 7-day week, folks! This is probably the most subtle Zelda shirt I own. I can stay classy, but still profess my undying love for Zelda for those “in the know.” Or, you know, they’ve looked at a box for any Zelda game...
Sigh... I like the design for this shirt, but it’s too small. It was a gift, and it never fit even then. I just have to stare at the beautiful design, lamenting the sad truth that I have no A Link Between Worlds shirt that fits...
This is probably my favorite
video game Zelda shirt. Yes, it’s a cool design of the iconic Hylian Shield and Master Sword, but I also got it from The Symphony of the Goddesses concert, which was probably the best concert I ever went to! My only regret is that I didn’t get the Zelda piano sheet music that they were selling...
Okay, this is technically another Zelda shirt, but it’s also Mario, Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Mr. Game & Watch, Metal Gear Solid... the list goes on and on. It’s not official and I got it off the interwebs, but this is a shirt of every single character that has ever been playable in any Super Smash Bros. game. The irony is that I don’t even really like Super Smash Bros. because I suck so much at it despite my efforts, but I love so many of the characters in Super Smash Bros. that this is also one of my favorite video game t-shirts.
I have a problem.
