So the family is trying to figure out what they are going to do with the girl because none of them want to take her in. However Daikichi is sickened by the way they are talking about her you know because her dad just died and they're talking about sending her to an orphanage or finding her mother and leaving her with her but she is nowhere to be found.

Daikichi volunteers to take care of her even after everyone says he couldn't possibly do it he is set out to prove him wrong and he asks Rin if she would like to come home with him she gladly excepts. He proceeds to take Rin Home. That’s how the show begins and from there they both do some growing up and a lot of learning. Their lives became a roller coaster from then on.

You should watch this show if you like Slice of life anime with some feels. No real nonsense other than a single parent/guardian dealing with life and taking care of a displaced child. I enjoyed the show even though it stops very short or where the manga has continued to go and is currently ongoing. There was also a Movie of it done.

I think I will start reading the manga actually. Seriously this is a good show look at the train gif.
