Quick who would win in a fight: Goku or Saitama? Doomguy or Master Chief? If you answered the shareholders, congratulations you’re not a fun person and you should fix that and this is the quality content you all know and love from your Thursday OF so welcome!
Oof. Now let’s slow down a bit. Is what I would like to say but this week has been a doozy. Besides having 3 tests to do (one of which is later today so if I’m not responding as fast as I use to, that’s why) this Monday I got a very unfortunate news that a classmate passed away and it threw me off the loop. It was very sudden and he was barely 30 years old so you can imagine how that feels.
Moving on to a less lethal tragedy, I also had the chance to play (50%)BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle at a friend’s house. I gotta say it’s a fun game but ultimately I doubt about its longevity on the FGC. It’s cool to look at but it plays like an even simpler version of MvC:I where everyone has the Soul Stone equipped but with only two attack buttons and the damage is set to maximumer. It’s strange and you can get used to it but still, combos feel like a hack and slash instead of a 2D fighter. I was fully expecting an UNIEL/Melty Blood style of 3 attacks, 1 mechanics button and 1 for tag. It’s strange to not see Persona breaks and that Ex Roman Cancel like thing UNIEL has.
It also pisses me off that this game recycles so much content that Greenpeace would be envious. With the obvious exception of RWBY characters, every single other move or super is lifted up straight from their games and that just makes the DLC sting even more. Personally, I’ll wait for the inevitable Xrd edition, thanks. But it did gave me today’s main question that is:
What are your favorite crossovers?
Other Fateful Questions Include:
- What you guys ate for breakfast today?
- Favorite overpowered skill?
- Favorite “friendship destroyer” game? (Monopoly doesn’t count :P)
