So... It has come to my attention that last Thursday was Valentines up there in Murica... And it was my OF... and I didn’t capitalize on the opportunity. So welcome back to the Forum where I find new ways to be dumb for your amusement! As always I’m Nior and I hope you’re all having a dandy week.
But to be fair maybe it was good that I forgot (Valentines over here is months away so cut me some slack) because that way I didn’t remind all the single boys and ladies of the date! See there’s an upside to everything. And if you are one of the lucky ones to spend the day with a significant other, congratulations! Cherish those moments guys.
But better than not spending money is spending it with stuff you like, and even better than that is getting stuff you like for free. This week my old man got himself a copy of Red Dead Redemption 2, which was surprising because he’s not that into open world games, but then I remembered that this is the man that re watches The Good, The Bad And The Ugly every single year and suddenly everything makes sense. And you know what, as someone that doesn’t really play Rockstar’s games, I forgot how much work they put into it. This game isn’t almost 200 GBs for nothing, for starters it’s pretty. Stupid pretty. I-can’t-believe they-animated-horse-testicles pretty. Slap in some HDR and every frame is wallpaper material. And if GTA V is any indication, there’s gonna a looooot of stuff to do here. That said, I won’t be playing it for a while, with a game this massive you gotta treat it like a relationship and really commit till the end, so I’m gonna finish cleaning my backlog first before cutting contact with the outside world completely.
- How’s the week?
- Game manuals! Remember those? Which ones do you still own? (I found my father’s old Homeworld manual this week. That thing is a better read than most sci-fi books out there.)
- What’s your favorite song?
Now go and Talk Amongst Yourselves! And if you feel like talking with some other peeps in real time, why not join the TAY Discord server? We have fun and games (sometimes) and maids (most of the time). Come say hello.
