Living on a Prayer! Take my hand we’ll- oh shoot I didn’t even notice you there. Hello and welcome to the Forum, where the grass is green, the girls are pretty and the show never stops. As usual, me, your host, hopes you’re having a great week.

So life. Complicated but as the title of this OF implies, it’s almost done. I’m this frigging close to freedom guys, just this one week left of tests and papers to do and I’m done with the semester. Assuming I don’t fail at anything that is. Pray for me friendos!

Anyway, let’s talk! So besides pulling my hair off to get all of these things done, my week in games was a pretty nostalgic one. Besides revisiting old Need For Speed titles (Most Wanted is not as good as I remember but still fun as hell. Too much brown tho) but the biggest surprise of the week: Card Sagas Wars. I bet most of you don’t even remember that old, ambitious MUGEN project that disappeared around 11-12 years ago. It pretty much intended to be the ultimate Smash, combining characters from god knows how many IPs (99% as “assist trophies” but still) in a single game. The original devs have something original coming and a new team took over for them, as far as I can gather. In my short time with the prototype, I saw: Ark from Terranigma, Dr. Eggman, Hatsune Miku, Simon Belmont, Lara Croft, Duke Nukem, Altair, Frank West, Alucard, Mai Shiranui, the friggin Rabbids from Rayman, Dad Of Boi Kratos, the list goes on and on! And frankly, the gameplay more than lives up to it! Its a perfect mix of Smash and traditional 2D fighting. But this is not the time or place for a review, just be sure to check it out. It’s worth for the sprites alone. Oh, and do be mindful of crashes and unbalanced moves, this is a prototype build after all.

Anyway questions! Have at ye!

  • What’s the thing that makes you all nostalgic?
  • How’s your week?
  • Favorite useless item.

Now go and Talk Amongst Yourselves! And if you feel like talking with some other peeps in real time, why not join the TAY Discord server? We have fun and games and don’t bite. Usually.
