Well, enough of you were up for it, so on with the show!

So yea, we'll be having a Pokemon Tournament on Pokemon Showdown, I haven't fully decided the time, but I'll leave it for at least another week so that others can get used to Pokemon Showdown and get familiar with the mechanics battling.

I'll be using Challonge to create the brackets. It will just be the standard tournament, two people battle and whoever wins will move on to the next round and so on.

So we won't cause problems to the servers, there will be limit to the number of 'official battles' a day. You can still go on and practice against others, but they won't count. I'll also try my best to make sure everyone will be pitted against equally matched players in the first round. I want to give everyone a fair chance.

As for what tiers we use and other rules, I'll leave it up to you guys to vote for whatever you want. I feel it's the fairest way to go about it.

With that out of the way, lets get voting!

What Tier would you like to use?

If you are unsure about tiers, take a look here and take a look at what Pokemon are available in each tier, then make your choice.

What impact should legendaries have on this tournament?

Exactly what it says, I know a lot of people hate when opponents have 6 legendaries on their team, so at the minute the most I'll allow is 3, unless one of the other options are chosen.

Allow weather teams?

I have no problem against weather teams, my favourite team is a weather team, but I feel as though some of the newer players might not understand how they work, so should it be moves and abilities that cause weather effects be allowed?

What Clauses should we use?

Clauses are basically rules that both players have to abide by. I think Sleep Clause it automatically on so I don't know if it can be turned off. I'm not sure how to put the rules into each match so maybe we'll need a spectator to make sure each person is playing by the rules. Each rule is explained in the link.

Monthly tournaments?

Maybe if this tournament is a successful as I hope it will be, maybe this can be a monthly thing. Every month will be a new tournament in a different game.

A regular article explaining battling?

This will be more for the people who are new to battling and would like to learn more about it. Every article I'll try to cover a different topic involved with online battling.

If any of you are willing to participate, say so in the comments.

Also, I'll need another 2-3 people to spectate the matches I can't so that we can make sure everyone is playing fairly. If anyone would like to help with that, feel free to say so in the comments.

Finally, to make this as fair as possible, I'll split people into three groups and people will face others that are in the same category in the first round. The three groups are:

-Novice: New to battling. You lose more battles than win.

-Average: You know enough about battling. You lose as much as you win.

-Pro: You know the ins and outs of competitive battling. You win more than you lose.

Say which category you fall into, and please be honest.

I thank you for your time.

EDIT: I guess I should add a link to Pokemon Showdown.
