Does whatever a spider can
New movie out, new game out,
Activision knows a cash cow
Here comes The Amazing Spider-Man 2!
... well, know you know why most of my music has no lyrics, I am terrible at writing them let alone singing. Lets boot this up and give it a (web) spin.
My Spider sense in tingling... of pure joy! Well, I admit after the mixed reviews, I had set my bar really low for this one, but I found myself having quite a lot of fun in the recorded twenty minutes above. Swinging across the city remains a fantastic sport and fighting is well implemented. But is it worth your hard earned cash? JUDGEMENT TIME!
It's all down to the following two questions:
1) Do you have the previous game and did you enjoy it?
2) How much do you love Spider-Man?
Depending on how you answer these questions should point you towards an answer on what to do if you come across this on the shelf. Much like the Arkham series, this builds on Beenox's previous game and yes, it's more of the same but well executed. It's also a lot of fun if you like Spidey and love to mimic his antics across the rooftops followed by thug busting in style with the occasional photo opportunity. Besides, I heard the game is already having price cuts in the US at least (a really bad sign so soon after it's release), so if you see it cheap... eh, why not?
Play Loud, Play HARDER! ノ┬─┬ノ ︵ ( \o°o)\ ...and yes, now I have Spider-Man's theme stuck on my head...
