After Square Enix released The Final Fantasy Adventure remake “Adventures of Mana” in the west for iOS and Android, fans (myself included) furiously commented and asked on Square Enixes blog and the social networks, why the PS Vita version was left out. The remake originally came out in Japan for iOS, Android and the PS Vita. So, PS Vita owners were obviously puzzled, why Square Enix left them out, when they already have the translation and the port of the game. Some even fear, if they leave out the west release of this games PS Vita version, it might also possible, that the PS Vita version of “Project Setsuna” will also only come to PS4 in the west and not the Vita port.
Thank goodness, Square Enix heard us and posted yesterday:
On the European Square Enix blog, the update says this:
UPDATE! We’ve been hearing a lot of requests for Adventures of Mana on Vita which I’ve passed onto the development team and they would like to share a special message with you:
Thank you for all of your comments on a PS Vita edition of Adventures of Mana.
We’ve been listening to your feedback and because of your passion for the game, we’re going to look into making a PS Vita version of Adventures of Mana for the west. We can’t guarantee we’ll be able to make this happen but we will see what we can do.
We’ll let you know if we have any news, so watch out for future updates and thank you for your support.
So, if you like to play Adventures of Mana on a real console (PS Vita or PS TV, which is a great mini-console that can play Vita games for less than~40€/$) instead of cell-phones with touch-screen based controls, head over to the Square Enix blog and tell them, that you want a PS Vita release of the game.
