Now that E3 is over, it's time to the other big event this month: Playing Soccer Real Fast.

Just kidding! Some of us will watch this event either way, but no, I'm talking about the other large event in June: Summer Games Done Quick.

Once again, talented players gather around to play through video games as fast as possible, all in the name of charity. Their previous charity speedrun marathons were highly-successful - the last event in January (Awesome Games Done Quick 2014) scored a little over a million dollars for the Prevent Cancer Foundation!

This time, the event will run from June 22nd (starting at 2 PM EDT) to June 28th. The event can be watched live via Twitch.

As far as the lineup is concerned, the usual suspects aka all-time favorites of speedrunning are present (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, various Mega Man games).
There also are some new games that weren't featured on any recent Done Quick event before like System Shock 2, WarCraft III, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Portal 2 and Guacamelee! (among others).

You can find a detailed list of all games here.

Bottom line, there should be something for everyone. Remember that you can donate money not just to help a good cause, but win some nice prices as well!
