Yes, I understand that Google is a thing.
I have played games like Fallout and Mass Effect over and over. I keep coming back to them, but I can only play as an evil character once.
In a post yesterday, I explained that I recently dug up an old notebook full of musings from the past. A lot of it is video game related- cheat codes, lists ranking characters that I thought were cool, that kind of thing. I felt like one bit in particular deserved it’s own special treatment.
Over the last few years, my best friend has done an amazing job at wrangling a far-flung group of friends into playing D&D over Google Hangouts. All of us are in different parts of the world, from Los Angeles to Rwanda, so it takes a good deal of planning to get everyone’s schedule lined up correctly. It’s worked out…
Turns out the leaks were correct and Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee are real. They will be coming to the Switch on November 16th and I’m...kind of bummed out.
What is up, Orcs and Ogres! Welcome to the 3rd part in a series about Tabletop RPGs! We are finally in the home stretch, getting to the nitty gritty. Enjoy reading, and feel free to...*roll* down to the comment section! Ayy... ;)
Final day at PAX East was bittersweet. Yes, I had traveled the country with the express intent of seeing as much as I could and networking hard, and yes I was exhausted by four days of nerd, but there was a part of me that didn’t want to leave just yet.
I never really got into Tabletop Role-Playing- in fact I didn’t want to. Then over the course of a single year, not only did I realise that they were right up my alley, but I decided to make one. Welcome to my multipart series.
Mere days before release, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon had one last thing to show us. A new form for Necrozma...or at least we think so.
So another trailer is out and we’ve finally gotten a better look at the story. It seems like mostly good news too, as there are some very notable differences to the plot of Sun and Moon.
Back when Sun and Moon were still a few months from their release, and I didn’t know what the island trials were, I was pretty hyped about them. It was something new and different, rather than just another set of gyms. However, I’ve played the games now and the island trials are probably my least favourite thing.…
We are only a few months away from the release of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra moon and despite the fact that a new trailer was released two days ago the fans seem a bit...underwhelmed.
A brand new mod for Fallout 4 which is making splashes across the modding scene, Pilgrim, makes sweeping changes to the atmosphere of the Commonwealth. Rather than the happy-go-lucky soundtrack of Dion’s The Wanderer and a bright landscape, Pilgrim has vault dwellers met by screams of terror in the distance and…
In this series, I take a look at some of my favorite marketing videos (i.e. game trailers) ever released for videogames.
While the game’s combat shines through and through, Mass Effect: Andromeda needs some serious polish before it can be fairly called a great Mass Effect game.
In Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, the player travels to Korriban. You encounter a Twi’lek sith instructor named Yuthura Ban. She attempts to justify the dark side and the Sith way of life. Explaining that it is not evil, but simply adheres to the laws of nature. Yet, when tasked with explaining the sith code,…
Based on the trend of subscription numbers, the glory days of the WoW are waning. Games have changed. For an MMO to survive anymore it’s almost mandatory to have a free-to-play model and an in-game shop. Wold of Warcraft -the still undisputed heavyweight champ of the genre- hasn’t embraced that model completely, but…
The wait is Over! Nintendo is back with a brand new rap.
Undertale is a great game, having captured the imaginations of millions and spawning a fandom with a fondness of boneheaded jokes.
