On June 1, 2018, along with many fellow writers, I started my stint on ThePickyGamer’s SixTAY Days of Writing Challenge, with the goal of posting one article every day up to July 30. Somehow, I made it happen! For posterity’s sake, here is a commemorative post, with the whole catalog of articles, along with some stats…
Previously, I went over what made the first Fallout game so good and how it separated itself from other RPGs. This time, I’m going over why Fallout 2 took everything from the original and gave the series its distinctive sense of humor.

Yesterday marked the end of an event two months in the making. Several of us did it, others did not. 60 posts in 60 days, no breaks. It’s hard man. However, that’s the life of your typical journalist. Gotta keep writing. Sometimes, you won’t have to post on a couple of days, but that’s because you’re working on a…
The SixTAY Days of Writing are finally over, so it’s time to break down how I did. At the halfway point, I shared some stats about what I had posted so far and how well I did at keeping pace with the challenge. I also said I’d post an updated set of stats at the end to compare to where I was at the halfway point. As I…
Woo! What a Night! I’ve been marathonig the final posts of the SixTAY Days of Writing challenge. At the start of the day, this final day of the challenge, I was short 9 posts, and as of this one I am at 59/60.
We have reached the end, my friends. After two full months,
this outrageous grind has finally reached its terminus. Today is day number
I will bow out as gracefully as a swan. Or a “pen” for extra scientific accuracy.
When it comes to writing, I’m a perfectionist. That’s why it was really difficult for me to take on the SixTAY Days of Writing challenge. That’s why I didn’t finish a lot of the articles I planned to during this challenge.
Four-hundred and sixty articles, and counting. That’s how many articles you’ve written as part of SixTAY Days of Writing.
I go to a lot of music shows. I think they’re a lot of fun. From small venue shows, to sold out stadiums, to outdoor festivals, to a concert at a convention, I’ve been to several different styles of live music events. Here’s an alphabetized list of every music artist I’ve seen perform live.
Here’s a list of advice based on my life experience that I think you should follow. No further context will be provided.
My final hours of the SixTAY Days of Writing challenge are rapidly dwindling away, but there was so much I wanted to post for it that I never got around to doing. As always I suck at time management. Since this challenge is coming to an end, I thought I’d take a look back at some things I wanted to write for it that I…
Pinball, as we know it, is suffering. Suffering from being murdered. Murdered by VIDEO GAMES. Ok, let’s cut the melodrama - It was inevitable, as people stopped frequenting arcades in America to stay home, that pinball would die. A few hardheads and pinball dads still frequent trade shows, restore tables and generally…
I just had a slice of super rich chocolate birthday cake after having way too much to eat at my birthday dinner. My stomach is uncomfortably full and I regret my choices.
San Francisco Rush 2 was a racing game for the Nintendo 64, and it did city racing well. That said, I never did all that much actual racing while playing. Not once I discovered there was an obstacle course for stunts nestled among all the other tracks, and that it was a total blast.
It’s the sixtieth day of the SixTAY Days of Writing and I have written ... *checks notes* 51 posts. I seem to be missing a few. Strap yourselves in, because I’m gonna be posting a lot today. It’s my birthday today, and instead of receiving gifts, I’ll be giving you the gift of a bunch of mediocre content!
