Wazzup! and welcome to the Open Forum, which is hosted by Kotaku's reader-run blog, TAY. This is a place to talk about life, video games, or anything else, so feel free to hop in and join in the topic discussion, or comment about anything. Then, when you're done, feel free to peruse the articles on TAY and TAYClassic. Is this your first time on TAY or the Open Forum? Then check out this handy TAYTorial!
Something's not quite right. That time traveling you did landed you in a middle school...or high school in the 90's. Whichever. But you're surrounded by Trapper Keepers, [every cliched early 90s reference you can think of] and a really dull History lesson.
So the only viable option you have? Is to doodle in your notebook.
You start thinking up names for that grunge. something. something. band you're starting. And you cannot have a band without a band logo.
Pretty soon the lines are filled with <del>confetti</del> crescent moons to accompany the ninja stars. Sorry excuses for lightning strikes. Killer Rabbits. A Sun, because... well the Moons feel lonely. And a shark. Because Sharks make any notebook and band dangerously cool.
You're fronting this band. So you logo doodle your name in epic proportions.
And a non-functional guitar(?).
- Doodle your handles! Surrounded by greatness or whatever your interests are - Trapper Keeper Style (so I expect lots of hearts, stars, horseshoes, clovers, and blue moons, pots of gold, rainbows and ...uh, video game inspired pixel art?). Or as you would in a notebook for those of you who are wondering just what the hell a Trapper Keeper is.
But please, don't let your teacher catch you!
Seriously. Don't get caught at school or work, guys.
- Make up a Band Name. Lay it on us.
As always, feel free to Talk Amongst Yourselves if ain't nobody got time for Lightning! It is the Open Forum, after all. Don't forget that the IRC Channel is always around for you to carry out discussions as well. If you wanted to give an admin, author, and/or friend a shout: You can find them on the DirecTAYry.
- Please note there is no TAYV Movie Night tonight. However, stay tuned: movie night will return next week with a big comeback and a surprise...
