Hello everyone, and welcome to the Open Forum, which is hosted by Kotaku's reader-run blog, TAY. This is a place to talk about life, video games, or anything else, so feel free to hop in and join in the topic discussion, or comment about anything. Then, when you're done, feel free to peruse the articles on TAY and TAYClassic. Is this your first time on TAY or the Open Forum? Then check out this handy TAYTorial!

Hey TAY, Heeeyyy.

How many games have you guys cracked open since the year started? New or old, if you got something from over the holidays, sales or picked up just this week, I want to hear about it. Rather, I want to hear the songs/soundtracks that caught your attention.

I started playing Tales of Graces F earlier this year. The soundtrack was composed by the fantastic Motoi Sakuraba. There are lots of chirpy tracks but the world is in crisis (when is it not ever?) and we need our darker themes to drive home that point. It wouldn't be a good JRPG without any of those. So, I posted just one for your listening pleasure.

It's called "Imminent Crisis", which is rather fitting since the Ides of March will soon be here. Are you guys bewaring the Ides? You best.

For today's suggested topics: Share your favourite songs/soundtracks from games you've played for the very first time this year. If that does not interest you, share a favourite song from an album you listened to for the very first time this year. These songs do not have to be from games (or albums) that came out this year. Some of us never have had the chance to play these older games before. We also know that many of us have backlogs so terrible, that we are only now just getting to games that came out since 2008. Or before. Or before before.

I would also ask if you could please state the game it is from because spoilers for game soundtracks are a thing!

As always, feel free to Talk Amongst Yourselves if ain't nobody got time for sharing music or bewaring the Ides (though you really should focus on that. I'm only looking out for you guys)! It is the Open Forum, after all. Don't forget that the IRC Channel is always around for you to carry out discussions as well.
