I've got a dentist appointment today. I'm not happy about it!

Back in April, I had a regular check up. I called for this check up, because I thought I had done something to one of my molars. I was afraid I had chipped it or something, as I could feel a divot and it was a little sharp on my tongue. I brought this up with the dentist and they assured me that it wasn't broken. I had just ground it down over time to cause this divot and I could have it filled to prevent any further damage. Of course I said yes to this.

Mistake. Once that filling went in, my tooth hurt like no other when it was touched.

Now, I've had fillings before where the bite was off and that can cause some discomfort, but that's not what this is. Anything pressing on it hurt (including a toothbrush).

I waited about 3 weeks, hoping it would go away, but it didn't. So I booked a follow up visit where I was told that "fillings can occassionally be painful until they settle" and he rubbed something on the tooth and sent me on my way.

Now we're at a full month since the second visit and it still hurts. I hate going to the dentist, but this guy has wrecked my tooth and I demand that he fixes it!

So my question is: How was your last dentist's visit? Bonus points if you were cavity free!
