What a week it's been. Between working through the pile of homework for my summer class I've been putting off for the past couple of weeks (curse you professor for being so lenient with due dates), slowly working toward's 100% completion in Saints Row IV, and preparing for my turn to pit my skills against my fellow TAYers in the Pixelympics this weekend I have a lot to talk about here today.

I don't typically go for 100% in games but something about Saints Row IV is just so addicting that I keep coming back to it. I'm at 99% now with just a few more challenges to complete and a few more achievements to unlock. Then I can move on to the next game in my backlog.

Tomorrow the FPS Pixelympics events will be going down. I will be competing in a game I've barely played and an old favorite. I've played about 45 minutes of Team Fortress 2 before which makes me the most experienced player with it on my team. I've been practicing (read: learning how to play) so I don't totally fail my team and I have to say it's quite fun and very different from the shooters I normally play. On the other side of things, I put a lot of hours into Halo 3 back in the day but after subsequent releases changing up the Halo formula quite a bit and a long stretch of not playing much Halo I was expecting it would take a while to get used to this game again. However, this was not the case. I was surprised how easily I was able to slip back into it like I had never stopped playing. I'm very excited to see how I stack up against everyone tomorrow.

So TAY, do you ever try to 100% games? Have you ever had to learn how to play a game quickly? Ever been surprised at how quickly your skills come back to you when you replay an old game? Excited for some Pixelympics action this weekend? Talk Amongst Yourselves about this questions are anything you want below!
