Hello everyone, and welcome to the Open Forum, hosted by Kotaku's reader-run blog, TAY. This is a place to talk about life, video games, or anything else, so feel free to hop in and join in the topic discussion, or comment about anything. Then, when you're done, feel free to peruse the articles on TAY, AniTAY, and TAYClassic.

When I was really young, I wanted to be a train conductor. I loved everything trains (and, of course, was a big Thomas the Tank Engine fan). Who doesn't love a good train? Steam trains are an almost fantastical form of transportation.
Eventually I changed my tune and looked into architecture as a potential career path for a few years when I started high school. Then my next thought was to be a teacher (which I kinda still wish I stuck with). It wasn't until my final (extra credit) year of high school that I thought of going into a computer software related field.
Now I'm a Technical Analyst at a big bank. Certainly not driving a train around.
So my question is: What job path did/do you want to take when you were younger? What do you do now?
If you don't want to talk about this, then feel free to talk about anything else!
