O Canada!
Our home and native land!

Oh, hey folks. I didn’t see you there. I was busying singing my national anthem.

Today is Canada Day! My country’s birthday! It’s just turned 148 years old (the Constitution Act in 1867 established Canada as a federal dominion, although we are still members of the British Commonwealth and the Queen is technically at the top of our governmental structure.).

My parents like to let off fireworks (my dad goes a little overboard) so I’ll likely be spending my evening oohing and awwing.

My question is: What sort of traditions do you have for your country’s birth/independence/random day?

If you don’t want to talk about this, then feel free to talk about anything else!
