It’s year end, and rather than going out with a bang, it’s a mere whimper.

Unfortunately I’ve been stuck with on-call duty (though at least I wasn’t on-call over Christmas), and my wife works until 12:30 New Year’s Eve (that’s just a slap in the face). Doesn’t look like I’ll be doing much when the clock strikes 12:00 and the new year starts.

We still haven’t really found a tradition. Some years we’ve gone out, others we’ve stayed home. Sometimes with friends, sometimes without.

My question is: How do you all like to spend your New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day? Big celebration? Quiet reflection?
