Welcome to the Open Forum! I know I said I'd stop the Photoshop contest, and I did, but there were a few more entries that were made at the last minute that I wanted to highlight. Also, it saves me the effort of having to use Google Image Search to find an image in which to turn into a topic...Anyway, without further ado, I'd like to present Nach's Photoshop submission. Classic Earthbound reference. Definitely put a smile on my face. Give him a big round of applause!
Hmm...that gives me an interesting idea for a topic. I thought that the fight against Giygas really turned some RPG conventions on its head. I mean, throughout the whole game, Paula has this prayer ability that is only really used for minor healing, but Giygas requires you to use it in order to beat him. In fact, it's to such a point that conventional attacks don't even work right and will only serve to get you killed.
So, I pose the question to you, my fellow Kotakuites: what video games have broken convention in such a way that it made a big impression on you?
Feel free to respond below, or just talk about whatever.
Also, don't forget to visit TAYCLASSIC. If you spend enough time there, maybe you can comprehend it. It does tend to be a mess of pictures, articles, and general randomness. It's kind of fun. :3
